TubeCat

TubeCat is an application which allows users to explore and browse YouTube videos based on popular video categories. It also includes features such as managing user's favorite videos and searching for channels and videos using keywords.

I initially came up with this idea because I watch YouTube so much that my subscriptions grow exponentially in both numbers and varieties, and without any genres categorization, my subscription box started to look messy. I wanted to create an app that would help users explore YouTube through categories. One of the highlights in this app's development is that, to enhance user experience, I decided to add 3D graphics into the app and create three spinning boxes through which the user can swipe and tap different sides of the cubes to browse different video genres.

Libraries used: SceneKit, Google Sign-in SDK, YouTube Helper Library.
